It Started with Lucy’s Elbows
Lucy Labwear began with Lucy — and one small detail I couldn’t ignore.
Lucy loved resting on hard floors. Over time, I kept seeing the same spots on her elbows: the fur looked worn, the area looked darker, and it stayed on my mind.
At first, I did not want to dress Lucy. I thought dog clothes were mostly for looks, and that was not what I was trying to do.
So I tried separate elbow pads first.
But Lucy did not like them. They shifted, she tried to take them off, and they never felt like something she could comfortably keep on every day.
I Started Seeing It Differently
One day, I lay down on the floor the way Lucy did.
The floor felt colder and harder than I expected.
In that moment, I stopped seeing it as just an elbow problem. I started thinking about the parts of her body that touched the floor every day — her elbows, her belly, and the little things I had overlooked.
That was when four-leg loungewear started to feel different to me. Not as something cute to put on Lucy, but as a soft, practical layer she could actually wear at home.
